Very nice value for the price, big comfy beds with a choice of cushions, and the prime location puts you steps away from the Cathedral and local attractions.
Some facilities feel a bit dated, especially the room decor reminiscent of the 1980s, and soundproofing isn't great. I could hear noise from neighboring rooms at times. Parking can be tricky since there are only six spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Well situated in the heart of beautiful Braga. Would readily recommend as friendly, comfortable and clean. Continental breakfast was included. Would certainly go back.
Room could have facilities for coffee making.

The staff greeted us with warmth and were helpful with local recommendations. My room faced a charming square, and was spotlessly clean. The ambiance of the hotel was pleasant and inviting. The comfortable bed had quality pillows that ensured a good night's sleep. Breakfast options were plentiful and fresh, satisfying every morning. The limited parking spaces outside the hotel posed some challenges, especially during busy hours, though I managed just fine. The room decor felt a bit dated, which could use a refresh. The fantastic location near restaurants and historical sites were great.

We were looking for a mid-priced hotel in the center of Braga and chose the Dona Sofia. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, far more selection than expected. Although not all rooms looked out on a lovely pedestrian plaza, ours did. Ask about this. All in all, an excellent choice.
The location, although very central and witin 15 minutes walking to almost all of Braga's central attractions and restaurants, was reached only by car through a maze of one-way streets. Finding it on arrival was accomplished only (!) because a very kind resident led us there in his car. And we had GPS.

The staff were helpful, providing great recommendations for local attractions and dining.
The limited number of parking spaces can be a hassle during busy hours, so plan ahead.

The hotel is very well located for the cathedral and the old town of Braga as well as the shopping area. It was clean and comfortable. Arrive early to ensure you get one of the five free parking spaces for the hotel. €65 is fair price but to be charged €0.75 for a small bottle of water - the only item in the minibar was mean and spoilt the enjoyment of our stay there.

I had an very nice stay! The room was really spacious with two comfy beds and a bathroom that was recently renovated. Just be careful in the shower, it can get very slippery!

The location is unbeatable-just a short stroll to local sights and eateries. Loved exploring the Cathedral and the charming historical areas. The super nice team, and breakfast was solid. Free parking is a huge plus, with a deal nearby for those needing more space.

Excellent family-run hotel with very friendly English speaking staff. Very clean, large rooms, good breakfast and price in perfect location for exploring and shopping in Braga. Only 10 mins from train and bus stations. Checkout bar opposite Hotel on other side of square for very cheap food & drink [recommend fish or meat pasties with garnish (chips & salad) at 5 Euro!!!]. Hotel bar is also reasonably priced. WiFi in hotel worked abeit it a little slow, however can't complain as it was free. Must see just outside Braga is the Bom Jesus - catch '02 Bom Jesus' bus from outside Farmacia Cristal, 571 Av. Da Liberdade 10 & 40 mins past the hour (15 mins, 1.50 Euro each way) - bus stop is 10 mins from hotel. Also recommend a visit to Guimaraes World Heritage city from/to bus station which takes 45 mins on BusPlus5 and costs 3.05 Euro each way. Nightlife in Braga is on the slow side (in Dec) with only a few bars and restaurants open.
It is not possible to find any faults with the hotel given the price and location, but no doubt some people will expect 4* quality for less than 3* price!!

The hotel is located in the heart of Braga. We stayed in a triple room, spacious and perfect for our large family. Each morning brought a good breakfast spread that everyone enjoyed.
For dads, it would be great if there were more parking spaces.
